SendPro always places a message in a flow. If you don't set up anything else, your message will be placed in the Default Flow. But it is also possible to design your own Flows. Standard behaviour for a flow is simply to deliver your message. By using Flowsteps, however, you can customize and control your flows. Flowsteps allow you to add things like click tracking, templates and archiving functionality.
Getting started in SendPro
Go to Design and click on Flows.
And then click on the Create flow button. You'll then see this screen:
- Flow: this is where you enter the name of the flow.
- Conditions: here you can see select the name of the source you want to use for the flow. Under advanced you can also select - (minus sign) which means that all the sources can be the condition. Read more about the settings of Conditions under the heading Conditions.
-
Steps:
Underneath the heading Steps; you will see a timeline (Flow), a section with Templates and a section with Flowsteps.
With Flow steps you add steps to your flow that can make adjustments to your message after the trigger has taken place. Think of actions such as click tracking, adding a subject line, adjusting the sender, applying a template, loading external data, archiving an email or forwarding to another flow. There are several options. You can read more about this under the heading Steps.
Selecting a Template means SendPro will apply the template at this specific moment in your Flow. The template will become a Flowstep in your flow. Please note that in most cases, order matters!

Conditions
To trigger the flow, it is important that the Source is clear from where the flow is triggered. Use the drowdown menu to select a source. Under advanced you can also select - (minus sign) which means that all the sources can be the condition.
Underneath you will see two buttons:
- Use Flow selector
- Add condition

A Flow Selector is a unique code that you use to indicate in which flow a message should end up.
It is then possible to set conditions. Please note this acts as an AND condition. So all values must be met.
