To protect your account from unwanted third party access, it's good practice to regularly change your Flowmailer password. (Re)setting a password happens in three different ways:
- You've created or have been invited to a new Flowmailer account;
- You've forgotten your password;
- You're updating your password for security reasons.
Setting a password for a new Flowmailer account
In case you've just requested a Flowmailer trial, be aware that the following can take 1 or 2 business days. New accounts are created based on an email address, but in order to log in you'll need to create a password. When you've been added to an existing account, Flowmailer sends out a password creating email right away. When you've requested a trial account, we manually check & create your account for you. After this procedure, you'll receive the same email to set a password.
Forgot your password
It happens to the best of us to forget a password. When logging in to Flowmailer, you only have a limited amount of attempts (6) before we lock your account. From the log in screen you can select 'Forgot Password?' and request a password reset email. The reset email looks like this:
Changing your password
In the Flowmailer dashboard you can also change your password by clicking the upper-right menu and selecting 'Profile'. Make sure that your new password is considered 'Excellent':
The same screen also allows you to enable Two Factor Authentication for your account. Some accounts have this enabled by default, thanks to company settings. If not, we recommend you to enable this feature. Learn more ยป
